Dear Friends,
It appears
that as e-mails and instant communications seem to be replacing old
fashioned letter writing, old fashioned post office buildings are also
becoming hard to find. I enjoy walking into the post office and sending
a letter on its merry way.
Here are some post office
photos. I took some of them and others were sent to me by people who
know about my fascination of these buildings and with whom I sometimes
correspond by mail.
As the new USPS
facilities with similar features become more plentiful, do yourself a
favor and visit some of these distinctive pieces of history. There's
bound to be one in your town.
